Abouna Bishoy has another vision, an Orthodox internet radio station. Its been in mind for a while, but by God providing for us, it is beginning to come to fruition. To be honest, when Andrew asked me if I would be willing to take on starting it, I am always willing to take something on, thats my God given nature. But this one was a question of capability for me, I barely even listen to the radio, muchless do I know how to build one from the ground up.
Before I gave Andrew a response, I put it in my prayers for a couple days, but I didnt really catch the response. I mean my schedule had opened up and I happen to have 300 hours of sermons, but that wouldn’t be the criteria I needed. Well, when I talked to Andrew, we said that we would give it a try and see what God does with it.
Its been 4 days since we started, the station is currently running a queue of the recorded sermons, and I feel that God is blessing this ministry. Things seem to be coming together: ideas, a schedule, new material, people willing to share personal words – im excited about it. I dont know exactly whats going to happen yet, but its in my prayers, and I request that it be in yours too.

A couple days ago, my friend and I spoke at a church in Queens about our recent trip to Africa at the request of the Priest. On the drive up (from New Jersey) we were preparing a PowerPoint, thinking of witty things to say, stories that we had, pictures we took, and everything in our power that we could, but at every corner we were hindered. First by my laziness of not downloading the complete .ppt, then by being at a loss for word from two experienced speakers, and anxiety in general.
We looked at each other and just said, this is completely against what we experianced in Zambia. When we were there, we planned, we prepared, we did everything humanly possible beforehand, but as soon as we got there, God said no. Like Saint Paul says, we were hindered. In Acts 4:13, it doesnt say and the officials marveled because of how prepared they were, it says they marveled at their boldness, and they knew that they had been with Jesus. So with this, we spent the next 2.5 hours in prayer, spending time with Christ.
Then comes the time to speak, people keep pouring in, got to be like 10000 people there, and at least 130 degrees farenhiet (Both exagerations, inside Africa joke). From there on out, we spoke boldly about the great things God did through us and for us, and He was glorified. God willing, that church will send a group to Kenya, and I know God will do even greater things through them.

This blog? Because Andrew Mitry, whose disciple i am, encouraged me to. I hope that this blog encourages and strengthens the faith of those who read it, not through my words, but by the conviction of the Holy Spirit
